Cajun Dip Mix

  • Recreate the flavor of authentic Creole cuisine of Louisiana with this gourmet dip mix. The bold flavor of these Cajun spices will liven up any dish. Not only can you create a creamy dip for vegetables, crackers, or shrimp, you can also use the spices as a meat rub, popcorn flavoring, jerked meats, or potato topping. This dip is rated spicy, but you can determine the level of spiciness by the amount of sour cream added.

    Chilled Directions: Mix contents with 1 cup sour cream and 3/4 cup mayonnaise. Chill for several hours for best flavor. Add more sour cream if too spicy.

    Baked Directions: Blend together 8 oz. cream cheese, 1/2 cup mayonnaise, 1/2 Tbs. Worcestershire sauce, 1 Tbs. olive oil, 1/4 cup half and half cream and dip mix. Fold in 1/2 cup grated Romano and 1/2 cup grated mozzarella cheeses. Bake in a greased shallow baking dish at 375 for 30 minutes or until edges are bubbly and golden. Serve warm with crackers or artisan bread. Try adding spinach, crab meat, or shrimp for variety.

    Ingredients: Dehydrated onions, dehydrated tomatoes, spices, and salt. No MSG or autolyzed yeast extract.
